Simon Gerovich, CEO of Metaplanet, stated that Bitcoin is an important tool for preserving wealth in both high and low inflation conditions.
The head of Metaplanet, a publicly traded company based in Japan, noted that people, especially in countries with high inflation, need Bitcoin to protect their savings amid the collapse of local currencies and capital controls.
According to Gerovich, those living in low-inflation countries are also at risk, as investors in those countries may lose purchasing power due to unnoticed currency devaluation and negative real interest rates.
Emphasizing that Bitcoin was created to maintain its value in the long term, Gerovich stated that this feature also allows for the transfer of wealth between generations.
