According to Foresight News, Argentinian Ethereum developer Fede's Intern announced a donation of $500,000 for the legal defense of Tornado Cash co-founder Roman Storm. This decision follows Fede's Intern's recent detention by Turkish authorities. The team is currently in the process of transferring the funds, with the transaction expected to be completed within a few hours.
Fede's Intern emphasized the importance of protecting those who challenge the status quo and creating systems that allow their ideas to flourish. He stated, "Progress comes from defending our innovators; when we stop doing so, we halt the construction of the future."
Previously, Foresight News reported that Fede's Intern was detained in Turkey on allegations of assisting others in the "misuse" of Ethereum. He expressed his willingness to cooperate with Turkish authorities or any other national authorities, asserting that they have not aided anyone in any wrongdoing but are prepared to defend themselves.
