According to Mars Finance, on August 11, Coindesk reported that cryptocurrency market maker GSR has partnered with the regulated tokenized asset trading platform DigiFT to launch over-the-counter (OTC) secondary trading of tokenized real-world assets (RWA). This service is aimed at qualified institutional investors and is available seven days a week during Asian market hours, allowing eligible institutions to trade tokenized units of funds including Invesco US Senior Loan Strategy (iSNR), UBS USD Money Market Investment Fund (uMINT), and Wellington Ultra Short U.S. Treasury On-Chain Fund (ULTRA). GSR will provide systematic bid-ask spreads, while DigiFT's platform facilitates settlement under the regulation of Singapore and Hong Kong. According to data from DeFiLlama, the RWA sector has grown to over $13.4 billion in asset size, with most of it coming from tokenized treasury funds and gold-backed cryptocurrencies.
