I was born into a relatively affluent family, and the days before I turned 18 were as simple as a blank sheet of paper. My grandparents always said I was smart, but my parents often had headaches over my mischievousness.
At 18, I put on a military uniform and became a soldier. Three years later, I was discharged and assigned to a public institution in a certain area in the southwest as a clerk. Every day was a routine from nine to five, and life was predictable. Fortunately, I had built up a lot of connections during my service, and my comrades and I partnered to open a guesthouse. The tourism industry was booming during those years, and we hit a good time and made a lot of money. Later, I simply resigned and focused on managing the guesthouse business.
At 24, I earned some money from the guesthouse and met the right person, and got married. The following year, my daughter was born, and life became stable and secure.
At 25, I came into contact with Bitcoin through a friend’s introduction, and I felt like I had found a new direction in life, so I dove right in. By 26, I was completely immersed in the cryptocurrency world, but I became what others called a 'loser,' drifting daily in the ups and downs, unable to find my way.
So five years passed, and by the time I was 30, it felt like a big dream. The cryptocurrency world caused me to lose my share in the guesthouse, and most of my assets were gone. My wife and I argued countless times, and we almost got divorced.
At 31, I suddenly understood that the cryptocurrency world was just a game of probability. After reflecting for half a year, I jumped back in. At 32, within less than a year, my capital went from 20,000 to 1 million, and my son was born that same year. At 33, my assets reached the tens of millions. I began to feel that making money was just that, dividing my money into three parts: one for buying funds for my children, one for long-term investments, and one for day trading. At that time, no one knew how much I earned, but in everyone’s eyes, I was considered successful.
At 34 years old, life became boring again, and I couldn't find direction in this game of life. At 35, I moved my home to a small mountain not far from the city and began to practice Taoism. People often say that the end of science is metaphysics, but I think it's a change in mindset.
Years later, someone saw me and said I looked very young. I told him, 'Without worries, my clock ticks slowly.'
He asked me what the first thing I bought after my assets surpassed a million was. I said, 'Just a two-meter-long desk, only a few hundred bucks, you can afford it too.'
He asked about my insights from these years in the cryptocurrency circle. I thought for a moment and said, 'Human desires are infinite; once you have one, you want two. Futures aren't difficult; the challenge is whether you can resist the temptation of wanting two after having one. This market is not a game of rushing forward; it's a game of taking profits. Moreover, there are no gods in this industry, only those who understand restraint.'
