In an interview with CNBC last week, Ethereum co-founder Joseph Lubin claimed that ETH could surpass BTC in market capitalization in the coming year, approximately, citing the influence of treasuries. With Bitcoin's current market capitalization, ETH would need to trade near $20,000 to achieve the change.
In another milestone, cryptocurrency analyst Ali Martínez reported that ETH's net capital change has surpassed BTC, labeling it as the clearest signal so far that the altcoin season has begun.
Market analysts believe that increasing capital will continue to flow from BTC to ETH as the altcoin season gains momentum. The price of ETH is currently near $4,300, and analysts predict a rise to $5,000 in the short term. Capital inflows into spot Ether ETFs also accelerated last week. Lubin is not the only one optimistic about ETH; recently, Eric Trump publicly warned short sellers not to sell.
