Crypto Market's Total Valuation Reaches Record High with Ethereum Surpassing MasterCard
The total capitalization of the cryptocurrency market has reached a record high of $4.14 trillion following substantial gains by Bitcoin and Ethereum. Since the start of the year, the market has grown by 22%, with approximately $750 billion flowing into digital assets. The surge has been significantly driven by Ethereum, which reached a price of $4,332, its highest since December 2021.
This rally, primarily fueled by institutional ETPs and corporate treasury accumulation, has pushed Ethereum's market capitalization to $522 billion, eclipsing MasterCard and Netflix. Meanwhile, Bitcoin has also seen a 3.3% surge, coming within $1,000 of a new all-time high. However, altcoins are not experiencing the same momentum, with little daily movement seen in XRP, Binance Coin, and Solana.
