Citigroup Raises S&P 500 Year-End Target to 6600 Points
According to reports from HashiChain, Citigroup has raised its year-end target for the S&P 500 index to 6600 points, up from 6300 points previously. Stuart Kaiser, the head of U.S. options strategy at Citigroup, stated that their derivatives trading department has recently observed a significant increase in demand from asset management clients for iShares index or junk bond products. This change may reflect investors' expectations for future market trends, and it may also indicate that they are preparing for the adjustment risks associated with potential increases in risk assets. Kaiser pointed out that this behavior of hedging credit risk suggests that the stock market may experience a reasonable pullback in the next three months.
