According to Deepnewz, the American convenience store chain Sheetz has announced that it will now accept payments in Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, and will offer a 50% discount to customers making their daily purchases in cryptocurrencies. Sheetz is a chain valued at $6.2 billion and has 700 stores in the United States.
Previously, the fast-food chain Steak 'n Shake began accepting payments in Bitcoin at all its American stores on May 16. Its Chief Operating Officer stated that after the adoption of Bitcoin payments, comparable store sales increased by 10.7% in the second quarter, with Bitcoin being a game changer.
