1. Project Overview @Huma Finance 🟣 #HUMA $HUMA

#HumaFinance is the first PayFi network to implement the Payment Financing (PayFi) model by combining blockchain infrastructure with traditional financial systems. This network offers instant credit and payment solutions by accepting future income streams and real-world assets (RWA) as collateral.

Launched in April 2025, the project has reached over $4.5 billion in transaction volume in just a few months and has a zero credit default rate.

2. Platform Operations

Huma Finance enables 24/7 global payments using stablecoins and on-chain liquidity, eliminating the slowness of traditional financial systems.

Users and businesses can offer predictable income streams, such as salaries, bill payments, or receivables, as collateral. This data is locked through smart contracts, providing instant access to liquidity.

The protocol utilizes both on-chain and off-chain data for collateral and risk assessments. This allows the lending process to be automated, transparent, and reliable.

3. Product and Service Models

Huma Finance offers two different models:

Huma Institutional – A permissioned service designed for institutional clients, requiring KYC/KYB.

Huma 2.0 (Permissionless) – A permissionless system accessible to retail investors.

Huma Institutional operates 12 active lending pools across ecosystems such as Solana, Polygon, Stellar, Celo, and Scroll, generating a total of $2.3 billion in loan transactions and over $4.5 billion in transaction volume.

4. Token Economics (“Tokenomics”)

The native token, $HUMA, is used as both a governance and utility token. By staking, you can participate in governance processes and access rights such as providing liquidity, fee reductions, and a share of protocol revenues.

Token distribution details:

Total supply: 10 billion HUMA

2.5% (250 million) is allocated to Launchpool participants and 0.5% (50 million) is allocated to marketing activities.

In addition, a portion of protocol revenues will be diverted to the treasury through a HUMA token buyback mechanism, aiming to reduce the circulating supply and ensure long-term value.

5. Partnerships and Financing

Huma Finance received $8.3 million in funding in 2023 led by Race Capital, followed by $38 million in a SérieA round in 2024. This round included strong investors such as Distributed Global, the Stellar Development Foundation, and TIBAS Ventures (İşbank) from Turkey.

Furthermore, in 2024, the company strengthened the PayFi network by merging with Arf, a platform that provides liquidity for cross-border payments.

6. Technological Infrastructure & Network Support

The platform's core technological supports include Solana, Stellar, EVM-compatible chains (e.g., Polygon, Celo), and DEX aggregators such as Kamino and Jupiter.

These integrations ensure optimal liquidity and enable faster and more cost-effective transactions.

7. Strengths and Advantages

Faster, cheaper, and more efficient global payments: Processes that take weeks in traditional systems are reduced to seconds with Huma.

RWA & Revenue-Based Collateralization: Increases financial inclusion by providing access to credit even for users and businesses without crypto assets.

Institutional and individual access: Offers payFi models suitable for both types of investors, increasing flexibility and participation.

Protocol-supported token economic models: Mechanisms such as staking, buyback, and revenue sharing serve long-term participation and value creation.

8. Potential Risks

Regulatory uncertainty: The regulatory environment surrounding RWAs and PayFi structures is not yet clear; developments in this area may create uncertainty in the system.

Competition: Market competition is high with other RWA/DeFi projects such as Centrifuge, Maple Finance, and Goldfinch.

Token supply pressure: Short-term selling pressures during the Launchpool and distribution period could lead to token price fluctuations.

9. General Assessment

Huma Finance is pioneering a fundamental innovation in the DeFi space by combining blockchain technology with RWA and payment finance. Its advanced integrations, institutional-retail access models, and extensive investor network are creating a rapidly growing ecosystem.
