$BOB Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has firmly dismissed any proposal that includes surrendering territory to Russia. His stance follows remarks from former U.S. President Donald Trump, who suggested Ukraine might consider exchanging land for peace during upcoming discussions with Russian President Vladimir Putin, scheduled for August 15 in Alaska.$BOB
Zelensky stressed that Ukraine will never relinquish its land and warned that any settlement made without Kyiv’s participation would be both unlawful and highly risky. With roughly 20% of Ukrainian territory still occupied by Russian forces, the country continues to resist the ongoing invasion.
Although international pressure for peace negotiations is mounting, Zelensky maintains that any deal must uphold Ukraine’s territorial integrity and sovereignty in full.
