🗞️BlackRock Confirms No Current XRP or Solana Spot ETF Filings

📰BlackRock has officially confirmed that it has no current plans to file for a Spot ETF for either Ripple’s XRP or Solana (SOL), despite circulating market rumors. The asset manager clarified that while it is exploring various digital assets, including SOL and XRP, these are only being considered for potential future offerings.

The confirmation comes shortly after Ripple ended its nearly five-year legal battle with the U.S. SEC, a resolution that some believed could pave the way for institutional products tied to XRP. However, for now, BlackRock remains focused on Bitcoin and Ethereum-based ETFs.

Industry figures, such as Nate Geraci, president of The ETF Store, have suggested that filings for XRP or SOL ETFs could still happen later, but there is no immediate action at this time.

Current status (as of Aug 9–10, 2025):

No filings for XRP or SOL Spot ETFs by BlackRock

Company’s focus remains on BTC and ETH ETFs

Future filings are possible but not in the near term
