On August 10, The Block reported that Bo Hines, Executive Director of the U.S. "President's Digital Asset Advisory Council" (also known as the "Cryptocurrency Council"), will resign from his position and return to the private sector. Hines subsequently confirmed the news on the X platform, stating, "As I return to the private sector, I look forward to continuing to support the thriving crypto ecosystem in the United States." According to Terrett, who hosts the Crypto in America podcast, Hines' deputy, Patrick Witt, is expected to take over his position. Terrett stated that Hines will continue to serve as an advisor, assisting White House artificial intelligence and cryptocurrency director David Sacks with artificial intelligence-related programs. Hines was appointed to the position by Trump in December 2024. He told The Block in April of this year that he had met with more than 150 people in the crypto industry in just three months since taking office.#USFedNewChair
