The simple bilateral average tariff rate for all goods in the United States has risen from 2.08% at the beginning of the year to 17.39% as of the 7th. The global trade volume affected has surged from $288.46 billion at the beginning of the year to the current $2.747 trillion. A report released by the Yale University Budget Lab on the 7th shows that with further adjustments to U.S. tariff policies, its average effective tariff rate has now reached 18.6%, the highest level since 1933.
