Why Do Traders Feel Lonely?
Yeah buddy — most of the time, it is like that. Traders often live in a strange space between focus and isolation. We juggle outrageous things every day, sometimes every hour, and most of us have no one to share these stories with.
How would you explain to someone the heart-fluttering panic you felt at 3 AM? They wouldn’t understand. How would you convince them that yes, you lost a chunk of money today, but you can recover it within a week? If you have someone who understands that world, count yourself lucky — most of us don’t.
For many, it becomes a silent, enduring journey. I’ve seen traders go full incognito, not because they’ve done anything wrong, but because they’re so deep in the game they become shadows of themselves.
So how do we save ourselves from this?
Trading takes a heavy toll on emotional health. Massive things happen in our minds and eventually affect our bodies. Emotional attachment kills the joy of the process. I’m not saying cut your emotions — we’re human, they make us who we are — but if emotion is in the driver’s seat, your journey will be chaos.
Keep the reins in your hands. Not an influencer. Not a narrative. Not misinformation, not even “right” information. Stay focused — but not overly focused. Sleep well. Eat nutritious meals regularly.
You might say, “But Amrita, some of us can’t afford even that. We’re in crypto because it’s our best shot in this global economic storm.” I hear you, trust me when i say i know exactly what you are going through. I know. But even then, we can ditch the restlessness. That’s the only way to combat the lonely nature of this journey.
You’re not alone if you reach out. Modern mediums have taken a lot from us, but they’ve given us one gift: connection. If you feel lonely in Albania, a friend in Nairobi can ping you. If you’re hyping FOMO in India, someone in Singapore might bring you back to earth.
Talk, my friends. Reach out.
You are enough. We are enough. We can do this.
Happy journey.❤️
