Ethereum spiked to around $4,200, marking its strongest 24-hour performance among major cryptocurrencies with about 7% gains, and pushing its weekly gain close to 20%. This surge triggered over $200 million in liquidations, predominantly short positions (approximately $185 million) . Former President Eric Trump chimed in, quipping, “It puts a smile on my face to see ETH shorts get smoked today. Stop betting against BTC and ETH – you will be run over.”
