《After I Put 10 Rollups into Caldera, ETH Finally Stopped Congesting》
Last week, after migrating all 10 Layer2 projects in my wallet to Caldera, I suddenly discovered a magical reality — the time I used to wait for transaction confirmations on Arbitrum is now enough for me to finish three bowls of old jar pickled cabbage noodles. This so-called "Rollup Lego" Metalayer actually strung together ZK and OP Rollups like a sugar-coated hawthorn!
As an old investor tortured by ETH mainnet gas fees, using Caldera feels like:
✅ Traffic Jam Terminator: Cross-Rollup transfers are as fast as riding SpaceX, and the transaction fee is not even enough to buy a bag of spicy strips (compared to some chain where a transfer costs enough for a hot pot meal)
✅ Blessing for the Patchwork: Finally, I don't have to choose between Optimism and zkSync; I can now collect airdrops with my left hand and play DeFi with my right, like stacking plates in a buffet
❌ Learning Curve Deterrent: The first time I saw the term "Metalayer," I thought it was a heavy metal music NFT platform
The most interesting part is their ERA token design — it can serve as the "toll fee" for cross-chain bridges and can also be used to vote on project directions. Yesterday, I staked 100 ERA to participate in governance and suddenly felt like a representative in the Blockchain United Nations (even though I couldn't understand the proposal content at all).
Now my biggest worry is that if one day Caldera connects all the Rollups in the universe, how will I, a "chain circle sea king," find an excuse to say, "Ah, I'm out of money on another chain". @Caldera Official #caldera $ERA
