🇺🇸 🔥Trump chooses one of his collaborators to fill vacant position at the Fed

The President of the United States, Donald Trump, appointed the director of the Council of Economic Advisors, Stephen Miran, as the new member of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve (Fed).

Through his platform Truth Social, the president justified Miran's appointment, as he has been a collaborator who has been with him since the beginning of his second Administration and has a lot of experience in economic matters.

Stephen Miran, like several of the president's advisors, is a critic of the Fed's management. Just last year, he co-authored an article for the Manhattan Institute proposing several changes to the organization, including reducing the length of term for the Board of Governors.

Miran will remain in the position until January 31, 2026, if the U.S. Senate confirms his position.

This decision comes after Adriana Kugler announced her departure last week, effective this Friday, without specifying the reasons for leaving the position.
