🇬🇭 A Nation in Mourning. A People United in Grief.
Yesterday, August 6th, Ghana was shaken to its core.
We lost eight brave souls — leaders, servants, protectors — in a tragic military helicopter crash.
These were not just titles and faces.
They were fathers. Mothers. Sons. Brothers. Mentors. Patriots.
🕊️ Dr. Edward Omane Boamah – Minister for Defence
🕊️ Alhaji Dr. Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed – Minister for Environment
🕊️ Alhaji Muniru Mohammed – Acting Deputy National Security Coordinator
🕊️ Dr. Samuel Sarpong – Vice Chairman, NDC
🕊️ Mr. Samuel Aboagye – Former Parliamentary Candidate
🕊️ Squadron Leader Peter Bafemi Anala
🕊️ Flying Officer Twum Ampadu
🕊️ Sergeant Ernest Addo
💔 Our hearts are heavy.
This is a painful reminder that even those who lead us are not immune to the uncertainties of life.
They gave their lives in the line of duty — in service to the nation we all love.
To the families left behind:
May your hearts find peace in the legacy your loved ones leave behind.
Ghana mourns with you. We see your pain. We honour your strength.
To fellow Ghanaians:
Let this moment humble us, unite us, and call us to live with purpose.
Let us respect every sacrifice made for this country.
And let us never forget that true leadership often walks in silence until it falls for all.
🇬🇭 Rest in Power, Patriots.
🇬🇭 May your souls find eternal peace.
🇬🇭 And may your sacrifice never be forgotten.
