The Virtual Asset Regulatory Authority (VARA) issued the first license to Laser Digital (the crypto subsidiary of Nomura Bank) for providing OTC options on cryptocurrency. This means a legal market for derivative instruments – starting with simple Bitcoin options under ISDA contracts.
