Binance Charity Steps In to Support Flood Victims in Southern Taiwan

Binance Charity has announced it will give away up to $1.2 million worth of BNB (Binance Coin) to people living in flood-affected areas of southern Taiwan. This financial support is aimed at helping those impacted by the recent heavy rains.

Starting August 14, 2025, eligible users will find BNB token vouchers in their Binance Reward Center. Who gets what depends on when they completed their proof-of-address (POA) on Binance.

Here’s how it works:

Users who live in badly hit places like Changhua, Yunlin, Chiayi, Tainan, and Kaohsiung and had already completed POA before August 7

will receive $80 in BNB.

The first 15,000 users in those areas who complete their POA between August 7 and August 20 will receive $30 in BNB.

Binance CEO Richard Teng shared his sympathy, saying the company hopes this support offers some relief during these tough times and helps people recover quickly.

This isn’t the first time Binance Charity has stepped up. They’ve also helped during the Hualien earthquake in Taiwan, and in disasters across Thailand, Myanmar, Argentina, Turkey, and Europe.

Binance Charity uses blockchain to make sure donations are fast, transparent, and reach the right people when they need it most. For more details, users in Taiwan can visit the FAQ section on Binance's official site.
