CoinVoice has learned that, according to a report by Coindesk, scammers are using AI-generated YouTube videos to promote malicious smart contracts disguised as MEV trading bots, having stolen over 1 million USD in cryptocurrency funds.
In the most successful case, the address 0x8725 ...6831 stole 244.9 ETH (approximately 902,000 USD) through associated videos (38.7 million views). The scam methods include: using AI-generated avatars/voices, manipulating the comment section, and employing techniques like XOR obfuscation in the contract code to hide the attackers' wallets.
