On August 7, PANews reported that Binance Charity announced it will airdrop up to $1.2 million (approximately NT$35 million) in BNB to users in areas of southern Taiwan affected by flooding to provide timely support. Eligible users must verify their residence in severely affected areas through Proof of Address (POA), including Changhua County and City, Yunlin County, Chiayi County and City, Tainan City, and Kaohsiung City.
Existing users who complete POA verification by August 7, 2025, will receive BNB worth $80; additionally, the first 15,000 users who complete POA verification between August 7 and August 20, 2025, will receive BNB worth $30. Funds are expected to be distributed to user accounts starting August 14, 2025.
