Wilson completed his PhD in engineering and has always been curious and methodical in his work in the field of machine learning. He began his career at startup technology companies, where he worked on advanced techniques such as federated learning and multi-party computation, which allow for collaborative data analysis and machine learning across multiple parties without sharing sensitive data.
He also worked with models related to risk management at a fintech company, which provided him with the necessary foundation for his current work in artificial intelligence and risk management.
In mid-2020, a former colleague recommended him for a vacant position at Binance that required experience in machine learning and risk models. Although he had not previously worked in the cryptocurrency industry, he was confident in his ability to apply his technical skills to improve risk management on the platform. He got the job, and since then, he has been integrating artificial intelligence with cryptocurrencies to make his mark at the company.
> "I’m just an ordinary computer nerd," Wilson humbly says. "I love solving problems and puzzles, I work with logic and program using data. These are my hobbies and skills. But what makes me suitable for Binance is my genuine passion for cryptocurrencies."
