The gap in open interest between Bitcoin and altcoins is widening.
Just two weeks ago, Bitcoin's open interest dominance was 40%, while altcoins' open interest dominance was 36%.
So far, altcoins' open interest dominance has decreased to 31%, while Bitcoin's open interest dominance has reached 43%.
What is the significance of this?
Because if the open interest in altcoins > open interest in Bitcoin, a local peak will be confirmed.
This has not happened yet, which means that altcoins will not collapse as they did in Q1 2025 or in Q2 and Q3 of 2024.
There may be another correction of 10%-15%, but the declines will be suitable for buying before the next rise.
