Elon Musk recently asked Grok (the AI chatbot of X) whether the security of Bitcoin could be compromised by quantum computers. This happened after IBM shared plans for a powerful quantum system, “Blue Jay,” for 2033.
Grok responded that Bitcoin is safe for now. He said that the chances of quantum computers breaking Bitcoin's SHA-256 encryption by 2030 are less than 1%, and less than 10% by 2035. Current quantum systems are too weak—only about 1,000 noisy qubits, while millions would be needed.
Grok added that stronger algorithms like SHA-3 or SHA-512 could replace SHA-256 in the future.
Fun fact: Tesla owns 11,509 $BTC (~$1.31B), and SpaceX has approximately $850M in value. Musk also personally owns Bitcoin #BitcoinSecurity #Squar2earn #Write2Earn
