🔍 What is this August event?

1. Referred to as "the August sickness" of the crypto market, as since 2013, Bitcoin has recorded losses in August in 8 of the last 12 years, with average negative returns between –5% and –12%.

2. In 2025 we are seeing a similar correction: a pullback of around 6-7% in Bitcoin, comparable to what was experienced in 2013, 2017, and 2021 after their respective halvings.

3. For altcoins, the pattern also repeats: after drops of up to ≈30-40% in August (2023 and 2024), they have recovered with rallies of over 100-140% towards the end of the year.
