Solana Launches Seeker Smartphone Globally, Receiving Over 150,000 Pre-orders
According to TechFlow, Solana has officially launched its on-chain smartphone, the Seeker, in over 50 countries and regions worldwide, with pre-orders exceeding 150,000 units, far exceeding the 20,000 units sold for the first-generation device, the Saga. The Seeker, priced between $450 and $500 USD, features upgraded hardware, a native crypto wallet, and a decentralized app store, and is expected to generate at least $67.5 million in revenue for Solana.
The general manager of Solana Mobile stated that Seeker's deep integration of on-chain functionality will lower the barrier to entry for users on Web3, driving more users to adopt SOL and potentially boosting its price. As blockchain technology accelerates its adoption on mobile devices, ordinary users are becoming increasingly connected to the crypto world.
