In a CNBC interview, Trump stated:
"They paid $600 billion, so I lowered their tariff from 30% to 15% — that’s a gift, not a loan."
He added, "The $600 billion can be invested however I choose. The point is, after years of taking advantage, it’s time they pay their dues. Enough is enough."
