Can he amend the constitution, so he can do this until death?

Former U.S. President Trump said: He may not run for president again.
Buddy, to be honest, you might not be able to run anyway. The 22nd Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, which has been in effect since 1951, clearly states that the president serves a term of 4 years and can be re-elected for one additional term at most. In other words, a maximum of two terms, no more.
Moreover, if there was a previous term that was 'acted in' for more than two years, then you can only run once more after that.
Unless you want to... pay tribute to those historical figures who 'never stepped down once they got in'?
