The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) has launched an initiative aimed at allowing trading of 'spot contracts on crypto assets' on futures exchanges registered with the agency.

The proposal is part of the regulator's 'Crypto Sprint' campaign aimed at implementing the recommendations of the Digital Assets Working Group under President Donald Trump.
