James Howells, a computer engineer from England, has given up searching for the hard drive containing 8,000 BTC that was accidentally thrown away in a landfill.
🔍 The hard drive is believed to contain Bitcoin worth Rp14.9 trillion currently, and could reach Rp131 trillion by 2030 if the price projection of Bitcoin surpassing US$1 million per coin comes true.
⚖️ Howells once sued the Newport City Council for access to the landfill, but was denied. He even intended to buy the location, but the court refused and stated that the hard drive belongs to the local government.
