Futures Commissioner Caroline D. Pham today announced that the committee will launch a cryptocurrency race to begin implementing the recommendations in the Presidential Working Group's report on digital asset markets.

Pham, acting chairman of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), said: "The CFTC is not wasting any time in realizing President Trump's vision of making America the cryptocurrency capital of the world." She added, "We will work closely with SEC Chair Gary Gensler and Commissioner Hester Peirce to advance the cryptocurrency project. Providing regulatory clarity now and fostering innovation in digital asset markets will fulfill the administration's promise of ushering in a golden age of cryptocurrency."
