Bank of China Hong Kong has taken a big action! They have just completed the second phase testing of the HKMA's "Digital Hong Kong Dollar +" project, and this time it's quite advanced~

In simple terms:

1. They conducted an experiment with a "smart wallet" using digital currency.

2. Successfully completed over 1500 transactions at Pacific Coffee shops.

3. Focused on testing special functions like "prepaid consumption" and "designated use."

This is not just ordinary mobile payment! They are using real digital currency and have added a "programming" feature. For example:

- You can set the money to only be used for buying coffee (designated use).

- You can recharge in advance but spend it gradually (prepaid consumption).

- All transactions are recorded on the blockchain, making it particularly secure.

The most impressive part is that they built their own blockchain system for testing, essentially creating a "digital banking laboratory". Now that the experiment has been successful, it shows that Hong Kong's digital currency technology has made significant progress!

In the future, we might really be able to use this kind of "programmable money":

- Parents can set allowances for their children to only buy books.

- Companies can limit the scope of subsidies.

- Donations can ensure designated use.

Although it is still in the testing phase, it seems that the development of digital currency in Hong Kong is really fast! When it is officially launched, our payment methods might need to be upgraded again.
