What is a DAO?
🗳️ A Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO) is a form of organization that is governed by code and controlled by its members, not by a CEO or a board of directors. Its rules are written in a smart contract on the blockchain, making them transparent, immutable, and accessible to everyone.
How Do DAOs Work?
💰 To participate in a DAO, members purchase governance tokens. The number of tokens you hold determines your voting power on the proposals presented. This allows the community to make collective decisions, from how funds are invested to which projects should be financed.
Web3 and DAOs represent a paradigm shift towards a more democratic and transparent future, where users have control over the platforms and organizations they participate in.
