$BIO 西班牙基因调控中心（Centre for Genomic Regulation）的研究人员利用利用一种可将活细胞压缩至 3 微米宽（约为人发直径的 1/30）的特殊显微镜，观察到挤压后 HeLA 细胞（人源宫颈癌细胞系）的线粒体在几秒内迅速聚集到了细胞核表面并产生大量 ATP，研究者将这类线粒体命名为“核相关线粒体”（NAMs）。在实验中，84% 的癌细胞经受挤压后都出现了这种现象。 进一步研究发现，机械性挤压会使细胞核中的 DNA 断裂并缠结，而细胞需要消耗大量 ATP 来“理顺” DNA 并修复损伤。在 17 名来自人类患者的乳腺肿瘤活检样本中，NAMs 在侵袭性肿瘤边缘的细胞核中的出现频率比在肿瘤核心高出三倍。此外，他们发现肌动蛋白纤维和内质网形成的支架结构能够固定 NAMs。当用破坏肌动蛋白的药物处理细胞时，NAMs 结构崩溃，ATP 水平下降。 研究人员指出，阻断这种支架结构的药物可能在不损害健康组织的情况下降低肿瘤的侵袭性。 这一发现为癌症治疗开辟了新的潜在途径，也为理解细胞如何在极端物理压力下存活提供了新的视角。$Hela
