Stolen Satoshi Statue Found in Lake: 0.1 Bitcoin Reward
A Satoshi statue, unveiled last year in Lugano, Switzerland, was stolen yesterday and was recovered from a lake by city security forces.
In Lugano, Switzerland, where cryptocurrencies are accepted for payment, it was revealed that a Satoshi statue, dismantled and thrown into Lake Lugano, was recently thrown into the Lugano lake. Authorities retrieved the statue from the lake and reinstalled it.
Last year, Satoshigallery, the gallery that created the statue, announced a 0.1 $BTC reward for the finder. In its latest statement, the gallery announced that no one would receive the reward for the statue's discovery.
The same statue, created by Italian artist Valentina Picozzi, was also created in El Salvador and Japan. Satoshigallery is preparing 18 more Satoshi statues to be unveiled in various locations around the world.
