The government clarified that it is not considering any countermeasures at this time. It emphasised that the trade surplus with the U.S. is not a result of unfair trade practices and reiterated its commitment to diversifying trade relations.
Last week, the White House announced a 39% tariff on Swiss goods. Additionally, U.S. President Donald Trump has postponed the implementation of reciprocal tariffs until August 7.
