The largest banks are actively investing in blockchain. According to a report by Ripple, prepared in collaboration with CB Insights and the UK Centre for Blockchain Technologies, there were 345 deals from 2020 to 2024, primarily at early stages.
The leaders are Citigroup and Goldman Sachs (18 deals each), JPMorgan and Mitsubishi UFJ (15 deals each). In total, banks conducted 106 deals, including 14 mega-rounds of over $100 million.
The demand is fueled by mature cases and efforts to establish transparent market regulation (GENIUS Act in the USA, MiCA in the EU). Many large banks are considering issuing their own stablecoins.$XRP $HUMA $ERA
