🔥【Tested】I played with 10 Rollup chains like "LEGO" for a week! ERA is something special!
Brothers! I recently discovered a magical tool called Caldera (ERA), it’s like playing with various Rollup chains as building blocks! As someone who’s been tortured by cross-chain transfers every day to the point of going bald, I must chat with you all!
🤯 User Experience: I didn't know Rollup could be played this way? Previously, when transferring from Arbitrum to Optimism, the fees were high and I’d wait so long that my takeout got cold! Now, using ERA's Metalayer, I can "teleport" directly between two chains! Last week I tried: Airdrop NFTs obtained on zkSync, and in 3 seconds switched to Optimism's DeFi pool as collateral (saved 80% on gas fees!) The craziest part was when Base chain was congested, the system automatically routed my transaction to the neighboring Avalanche subnet, as smooth as Dove chocolate!
💸 ERA Token: Not just a "toll fee" This token is not just pie in the sky, I tested three cool operations:
1⃣ Cross-chain "ETC": Transferring assets between different Rollups, using ERA is half the cost of traditional bridges (but the price is volatile, I suggest buying as you use)
2⃣ Staking Mining: Becoming a node validator, with an annualized return of about 18%-25% (but the lock-up period is very long, suitable for laid-back players)
3⃣ Voting Rights: Just last week, I used ERA to vote on a protocol upgrade, experiencing a bit of what Vitalik feels like (though the option I voted for didn’t get selected in the end...)
🚨 Drawbacks also need mentioning: High learning curve: At first, that Metalayer interface made my scalp tingle, I studied for two hours before I could use it. Small tokens are highly volatile: Yesterday ERA's price dropped 20% in half an hour, I was so scared I forgot to add the seasoning packet to my instant noodles.
💬 Now the question arises: Do you think the future will be "interconnected chains" or "everyone plays their own game"? If Metalayer can connect to the Bitcoin ecosystem, wouldn’t it take off? Let’s discuss in the comments!
