Ripple Ranks Among the Top 25 Private Companies Globally
San Francisco-based blockchain company Ripple, with a valuation of $15 billion, has been ranked by CB Insights as the 23rd largest private company in the world.
Ripple's valuation surpasses that of Swedish fintech company Klarna ($14.5 billion) and defense technology company Anduril, funded by Palmer Luckey ($14 billion). Other notable companies on the list include the NFT marketplace OpenSea, cryptocurrency mining manufacturer Bitmain ($12 billion), and cryptocurrency exchange KuCoin ($10 billion).
The top spot is held by Elon Musk's SpaceX, valued at $350 billion. TikTok's parent company ByteDance and AI giant OpenAI are tied for second place at $300 billion each.
Although Ripple expressed intentions to go public as early as 2020, the company is not in a hurry for an IPO at this time. President Monica Long stated that with the lawsuit against the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) nearing its conclusion, the company has sufficient funds and does not face additional financing pressures.
