The overall crypto market is slightly up today, with a total market cap around $3.69 trillion. Bitcoin (BTC) is currently trading between $113,750 and $113,950, showing a small gain of about 0.4% to 0.9% in the last 24 hours. On the other hand, Ethereum ($ETH ) has dropped about 5%, now trading around $3,465 to $3,475. BNB is up slightly, trading near $748, while Solana ($SOL ) has fallen a little, down about 1.5%, trading around $161.
Meanwhile, some coins are performing really well today. Stellar (XLM) has gained around 8%, and Hedera (HBAR) is also up by nearly 7%. Other rising coins include INIT (Initia), CFX (Conflux), and SOPH, all showing more than 10% gains.
A major headline today is about BlockDAG, which is hosting a big auction offering 10 BTC in bonuses as it prepares to launch its BDAG token on August 11. It’s claiming a potential 2,660% return in its presale phase.
In the U.S., the SEC has introduced “Project Crypto”, a new framework to support the crypto industry with relaxed rules around token launches and on-chain financial services. This may help the market in the long term.
However, institutional investors seem to be reducing their holdings. Some of the biggest Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs saw large withdrawals. For example, Fidelity removed $331 million from FBTC, while Ark’s ARKB and Grayscale's GBTC also saw significant outflows.
