Recently, I needed to write an article about the Chainbase project, so I researched the differences between this project and other established data projects, such as Dune, SubQuery, The Graph, etc.
Let me break down the project from the aspects of functionality, positioning, and participation value👇
1️⃣ Dune: Focused on data visualization, leaning towards analysts
Dune is the favorite tool of analysts and data communities, capable of creating various on-chain analysis charts and dashboards, especially suitable for those who 'read data'.
But it is not very suitable for developers to directly use data for projects, and it is not open to all connections (currently still leaning towards the Ethereum ecosystem).
🍏 Target audience: data researchers, chart enthusiasts
❌ Fewer yield farming opportunities, no native incentive model
2️⃣ SubQuery: An 'index layer' service for ecosystems like Polkadot and Cosmos
SubQuery is an on-chain data indexing project focused on non-Ethereum ecosystems, such as Polkadot and Cosmos.
It provides indexing service for project parties, but it is not user-friendly for end users and does not offer many task participation opportunities.
🍏 Target audience: developers of specific public chain projects
❌ Ordinary users have little awareness, high threshold
3️⃣ Chainbase: A 'data API toolbox' for Web3🔧
The biggest feature of Chainbase is: cross-chain unified data query + API minimalist invocation + perfected yield farming mechanism
✅ No matter if you are working with BSC, Arbitrum, or Solana, Chainbase can be unified for access
✅ Standardized data format, developers can use it directly by calling the interface
✅ Task design is very reasonable, low threshold, clear returns, and defined expectations (TGE, points, tokens)
🍏 Target audience: developers + ordinary yield farmers
🔥 Suitable for both long-term followers + short-term task participants
💡 In summary: Chainbase is the developer version of Dune + the cross-chain version of Graph + an evolved version with its own yield farming system!
If you just want to participate in tasks for rewards, it is the most suitable;
If you are a developer, you can build dApps based on Chainbase in the future and directly call on-chain data.
So, Chainbase is not just a yield farming tool, but a versatile project for 'building while farming'‼️
