In the past few years, the crypto space has experienced a lot: from Bitcoin halving and new highs, to the FTX collapse and LUNA's zero; from the boom of DeFi and the myth of NFTs, to the current AI track, BTC ecology, and the emergence of new trends like RWA (real-world assets).
Many people ask me, at this point in time, can we still play in the crypto space? Can we still enter? Is there still an opportunity?
As a 'veteran investor' who has been in the crypto space since 2017, I want to share my honest thoughts on the state of the crypto space in 2025, and what you should do.
One, the crypto space is still playable, but it is no longer an era of 'blindly getting rich'.
Let me give you a conclusion:
The crypto space is still viable, but it is no longer an era where everyone gets rich; it is an 'era of differentiation'.
To put it bluntly, the gap between those who can make money and those who can't is widening. The days when you could blindly buy Shiba, APE, or Dogecoin and see multiples are basically over; now you need to rely on information asymmetry, strategies, and execution to make money.
Why is this the case?
Because the market has shifted from 'retail-driven' to 'institutional participation and capital games'. The opponents you face may be full-time on-chain analysts, arbitrage teams, or even AI robots and professional exchange liquidity market makers.
So, if you want to participate in the current market using the 'strategies from the last bull market', you basically have no chance.
Two, the dividends in the crypto space still exist, but you need to change your mindset.
Make money through cognitive differences, not by gambling on luck.
In the past, many people made money by 'hitting the trend', such as DeFi, NFTs, GameFi, and dog coins. But now the trends are shorter, and the pace of speculation is faster; without research capability, it's easy to be the 'last one in'.
The real opportunities now lie in:
· Pre-arranging for airdrops: such as potential big projects like LayerZero, EigenLayer, ZKSync, etc.
· Participate in on-chain ecological growth: Observe which new public chains (such as Berachain, Monad) have rapidly growing TVL;
· Focus on institutional layout tracks: AI + blockchain, RWA, Bitcoin Layer 2, etc.
Three, whether you can make money actually depends on your mindset
You might think that success in the crypto space relies on vision, but the key is: mindset + ability to control rhythm.
There are three consensus points among veteran investors:
· Don't aim to profit from the last segment, don't be greedy in the first segment: eating in the middle is the way to go;
· Volatility is the norm, and explosive growth is occasional: real opportunities are 'guarded' rather than 'rushed';
· Don't be swayed by FOMO emotions: every time you see someone else get rich, it could be the result of years of preparation.
Four, opportunities still exist, but the crypto space has long changed,
the crypto space is not unplayable, but it has transformed from a 'rich quick prairie' into a 'master competition arena'.
If you're still approaching today's market with the mindset of 2019 or 2021, you'll just end up suffering more.
However, if you're willing to calm down, study, build strategies, and optimize your understanding, the crypto space still has the potential for the highest investment returns.
Final advice:
· Don't heavily invest in bets, don't trust KOLs easily, don't chase highs and cut losses;
· Learn more about on-chain operations, learn to analyze data yourself;
· Most importantly: it's not about chasing trends, but about maintaining good position control; staying alive is more important than anything else.
May you not just be 'here to take a look' in the crypto space, but 'stay alive, make money, and become stronger'.$BTC $ETH #以太坊十周年 #币安HODLer空投TREE #加密市场回调
