According to BlockBeats news on August 3, a recent report jointly released by Ripple, CB Insights, and the UK Blockchain Technology Center shows that Citigroup, JPMorgan Chase, Goldman Sachs, and Japan's SBI Group have become the most active representatives of traditional financial institutions supporting blockchain startups.

The report indicates that from 2020 to 2024, global banks participated in a total of 345 investments in blockchain companies, mostly concentrated in the early financing stage. Among them, Citigroup and Goldman Sachs each completed 18 transactions, leading the entire industry; JPMorgan Chase and MUFG followed closely behind with 15 investments each.

Among them, the 'super financing rounds' with amounts of $100 million and above are key areas for banks' investments. Over the past four years, banks have participated in 33 such financings, with funds primarily directed towards companies focusing on trading infrastructure, tokenization, custody, and payment solutions.
