Digital asset management companies are changing the game on Wall Street, how is that
Publicly traded companies are reconsidering their relationship with digital assets, as cryptocurrencies, especially stablecoins, are no longer seen merely as speculative bets, but have become an integral part of balance sheet strategies.
According to a recent report by Galaxy Research titled "The Rise of Digital Asset Management Companies", this phenomenon has become widespread, with these companies collectively holding over $100 billion in Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other digital tokens.
The report noted that digital asset management companies currently control about 791,662 Bitcoin ($93 billion) and 1.31 million Ethereum ($4 billion), which represents 4% of the total Bitcoin supply and 1.1% of the Ethereum supply. Capital distribution strategies surpass traditional investment tools.
Digital asset management companies are demonstrating new ways of raising capital, as they turn to at-the-market (ATM) equity programs when their shares are trading at a premium, allowing them to raise more cryptocurrencies for every dollar.
