Oh my God! Who would have thought that I, a newbie who can't even tell ETH from ETC, could actually handle @WalletConnect now! This all started last month...
That day, I was lurking in a group of big shots in the crypto world, watching them chat passionately: "cross-chain" "DApp" "Gas fee"... I recognized every word, but was completely confused when they were put together! Until a kind-hearted senior said, "Newbies should try WalletConnect first."
When I opened the app for the first time, I was so nervous that my palms were sweating! I found a "beginner's tutorial" video and followed along, only to discover... this is way too easy?! Scan, confirm, transfer, done in three steps! Easier than my mom learning to use WeChat Pay!
The funniest moment was my first transfer: I transferred ETH worth 10 bucks as a test, staring intently at the screen, afraid I would make a mistake. Before I could even react, the transaction was completed! This speed is faster than when I send a red envelope to my girlfriend!
A few features that blew my mind:
1. Automatically calculates miner fees, no more worrying about sudden spikes in transaction fees.
2. Suspicious addresses turn bright red, just like a traffic light.
3. You can create shortcuts for frequently used DeFi platforms.
4. Transaction records are automatically organized clearly.
But there were frustrating times too: Last Saturday night, I wanted to buy an NFT, and the network was as slow as a dog! I spun in circles for almost two minutes, nearly throwing my phone in frustration... Fortunately, the customer service lady said they will upgrade the server next month. So @WalletConnect is still worth keeping an eye on.
