$XRP

The forthcoming August 1 release is part of Ripple’s monthly escrow program, under which up to 1 billion XRP is unlocked each month.

Historically, Ripple re-locks 60–70% shortly after release, leaving only a small portion to support operations or liquidity, including tokenization programs and exchange infrastructure. That means the actual influx into circulating supply typically ranges around 300–400 million XRP, not 1 billion full tokens.

Market sentiment suggests that recent unlocks have not historically triggered lasting price pressure when handled transparently and predictably. Selling behavior, not token unlock events is the real driver of volatility.
