Navigating the crypto space, your trading strategy is your 'secret weapon'. The following maxims are the culmination of my 12 years of practical experience; be sure to save them!
Entry Chapter: Testing the waters in the crypto world, preparing to take the lead; entering steadily, refusing to rush.
Sideways Chapter: Low-level sideways movement creating new lows; heavy buying at the bottom is timely; high-level sideways movement with peaks; decisively sell without hesitation.
Volatility Chapter: Sell when prices peak, enter quickly when they plunge; watch during sideways movement, reduce trading. Sideways means to hold tight, as a rise may come at any second; during a rapid rise, be wary of a sharp drop and be ready to secure profits; a slow decline is a good time to gradually add positions.
Timing Chapter: Don't sell when prices peak; don't buy when they plunge; during sideways movement, don't trade. Buy on bearish candles, sell on bullish candles; contrarian operation is the way to stand out. Buy on big drops in the morning, sell on big rises in the morning; don’t chase highs on big afternoon rises, buy on the next day after big afternoon drops; don’t cut losses on big morning drops; if prices are stable, take a rest; add to positions to break even, and avoid excessive greed.
Risk Awareness Chapter: A calm lake can suddenly have high waves; after a big rise, there must be a pullback, with K-lines showing a triangle for many days. In an upward trend, look for support; in a downward trend, look for resistance. Full-position trading is a big taboo; stubbornness is not feasible; in the face of uncertainty, know when to stop and seize the opportunity to enter and exit.
Trading cryptocurrencies is essentially trading mindset; greed and fear are major enemies. Be cautious with chasing highs and cutting losses; being calm and composed is the key to comfort.
In addition to maxims, I have compiled several super practical trading methods that can benefit both novice beginners and seasoned players:
Oscillation Trading Method: Most market conditions are in an oscillation pattern. Utilizing high selling and low buying in ranges is the foundation for stable profits. Use BOLL indicators and box theory, combined with technical indicators and charts to accurately find resistance and support. Follow short-term trading principles, and avoid greed.
Breakthrough Trading Method: After prolonged consolidation, the market will choose a direction. Entering after a breakout can yield quick profits, but requires precise recognition of the breakout.
Unilateral Trend Trading Method: After breaking through a market, a unilateral trend will form, and trading with the trend is key to profit. Enter during pullbacks or rebounds, referencing K-lines, moving averages, BOLL, trend lines, etc. Mastery of these will allow for ease in trading.
Resistance and Support Trading Method: When the market encounters key resistance or support levels, it often faces resistance or receives support. Entering orders at this time is a common strategy. Use trend lines, moving averages, Bollinger Bands, and parabolic indicators to accurately judge resistance and support levels.
Pullback and Rebound Trading Method: After significant rises or drops, brief pullbacks or rebounds will occur. Seize the opportunity for easy profits. The main basis is K-line patterns; good market sense can help accurately grasp highs and lows.
Time-based Trading Method: Morning and afternoon sessions have low volatility, suitable for conservative investors. Although the time to profit is long, the market is easier to grasp; evening and early morning sessions have high volatility, suitable for aggressive investors. Quick profits can be made, but the difficulty is high, requiring strict technical and judgment skills.
