After such a drop, are you starting to research 'value investing' again?
Just a few days ago, ETH was soaring, you were rubbing your fists in excitement, overflowing with confidence, and trending topics were 'the cryptocurrency market is entering a new cycle', with the square filled with 'if you don't get on board now, it will be too late'!
Now, just like that, one night back to square one, with liquidation data in the hundreds of millions, and the ground is full of lamenting investors.
You start to question life:
'Is Bitcoin a scam?'
'Should I just switch back to dollar-cost averaging into ETFs?'
'Or is it better to stick with the A-shares, at least they won’t make me face liquidation...'
My friend, I can only say one thing: you are not wrong, the problem is that the market is too real.
When it rises, it’s like a tornado; when it falls, it’s like a fan blowing in reverse, all driven by emotions.
And you, your emotions change three times a day, your mindset is more volatile than altcoins.
You say you want to 'hold long-term', but when there’s a 10% correction, you run away;
You say you want to 'dollar-cost average into Bitcoin', but when it surges 10%, you change your plan.
Is it that the cryptocurrency market is too volatile, or are you too soft?
In fact, what really makes you lose money is not the 'volatility', but your constant attempt to use short-term cleverness to gamble on long-term trends.
Clearly supposed to be a 'hunter', yet every day acting like 'sheep'.
Don’t worry, it’s not your fault, it’s human nature.
The vast majority of people always rush in during a surge and run out during a drop, just like in love: the more unattainable it is, the more you desire it, and once you have it, you want to run away.
So, let me remind you again:
When a real bull market comes, 99% of retail investors are waiting for a 'correction'; when a real bear market comes, 99% of retail investors are betting on a 'rebound'.
What should you do now?
Don’t fantasize about picking the bottom at the lowest point, and don’t hope to be the first to run before selling high.
Surviving is more important than anything else.
