The top 2 companies have assets worth billions of dollars, while the rest are limited to millions of dollars. At the moment, the companies have already bought 2.26% (2.73M) of the total ETH issue and this figure will gradually grow, as they will not stop at this amount. The inflow from corporations is comparable to the inflow of funds into spot Ethereum ETFs, which are also showing record demand. Meanwhile, we continue to have ETH purchases, with Bitcoin Shop planning to raise $2B to buy ETH tokens. BTCS Inc. was founded in 2013 under the name Bitcoin Shop, Inc. as the first e-commerce startup to accept payment in BTC.
The growing interest is attributed to the opportunity to earn income from ETH staking (~3% annualized) and participation in DeFi protocols.
